Back to School

While reading my morning emails, I can across an article about back to school shopping. It got me thinking back to those days when you would spend hours at the mall going from store to store “stocking up” on fall and even some winter clothes. I recalled as I got older my mother suggesting buying just a few new things just to get me started (especially going back to school it August it is still SUPER hot). I totally got what she was saying but still wanted to the bags upon bags of clothes. But now several years later reading this article, I realized my mother was on to something many people are just picking up now and also carries over to the big name designers which is unifying and modifying a wardrobe for all four seasons at once. Keeping sweaters and pants out all year long and using summer tanks as layering pieces for winter outfits is no longer strange to do.  As time goes on and global warming is effecting climate change, our society is dressing for one year long season. And I wonder if kids (and their parents) these days really do in fact shop the back to school season in the traditional “seasonal” fashion or are they just modifying their ever-changing fickle wardrobes.
