The Art of Packing for College

College fashion & accessories

college fashionOur brilliant college-bound interns, Brooke, Katie and Megan, have excellent taste to match their grades. We asked them to make a wish list of fantastic items to take to school—they almost make us wish we could redo freshman year.

Katie, who’s attending Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn. selected:

“I chose the lap desk because it will be so handy for doing my homework in college, the tote because I love that it’s “green,” and the Peel and Stick wall décor for brightening up my dorm room. The Orla Kiely umbrella has the cutest print and will be handy for the unpredictable weather I’ll face in the north,” Katie says.

Brooke, who’s attending Brown in Providence, R.I. selected:

“I chose the blue patent Marc Jacobs tote because it will be great for taking books to class. Rosebud Salve I can’t live without and, especially with the colder weather, I’ll have to avoid chapped lips. I chose the Priorities black jacket with gold buttons because it’s the perfect thing to throw on over jeans to keep warm and add a little style. The gray scarf with sequins will be a fun fashion piece to spice up any outfit,” Brooke says.

Megan, who’s attending Rhodes College in Memphis,Tenn. selected:

“The People’s Liberation jeans are so comfortable and the back pockets are awesome! The blanket is great because it’smade fromrecycled fabrics. I love the London Underground rainboots— they will be useful and will stand out on the gray, rainy days! The Get Gorgeous tea tastes amazing and it makes my skin look great. And I’m obsessed with my Apple IPhone— I’m always on it listening to my music. And the messenger bag is one of a kind and part of a free trade organization.”
